About us

Cox Wealth Management, LLC is an independent wealth management firm. We chose to be regulated as fiduciaries. This means we are legally bound to always put your interest first, a standard recognized by regulated professionals and enforceable by law.

Client Centered

We are “fee-based” advisors, not to be confused with “fee-only”. The difference is we believe having the necessary licenses for acquiring any financial product such as Insurance, Commodities, Stocks, Bonds, Options, Private Placements, Mutual Funds, and Exchange Traded Funds allows us unfettered access to review and select investments based upon your unique needs. As your recognized fiduciary we are trained and licensed to determine if any particular investment meets your needs.

In short, we take care of coordinating all your wealth management needs, so you don’t have to.

Our company was started in 1984, when founder Richard L Cox, Sr. CFP®, CKA® first decided to serve his financial planning clients as an Independent Advisor. Over the years, his leadership has developed Cox Wealth Management, LLC into a firm known for its unique ability to find custom solutions to complex problems for our clients.

Solutions for just about any issue you may face, including a broad range of long-term planning strategies for you, your family, or your business.

We are also honored to serve with your other professional advisors as a critical part of your team. Whether you simply need a single solution or want a team of financial and legal advisors working together, we are here to help bring together all the pieces of your financial life.

Wealth management is not just about managing money. It’s about managing life.

Wealth management is not just about managing money. It’s about managing life.

Balancing your time between family, hobbies, business interests, and health may be difficult enough but then there are the complexities of managing investments, planning for retirement, providing for your family through proper estate planning, and protecting both your assets and your family from undue risk. Wealth Accumulation

Financial threats can come in a variety of directions. Our approach helps you to identify many of them before they become a problem.

Life happens. You can think you have almost every contingency covered, but it’s the little things we don’t know that can hurt us the most.

We provide a risk survey as part of the services we offer our clients. This process is designed to review your situation to determine potential exposure to various risks. After reviewing the information, we begin developing strategies using:

  • Life insurance protection, to protect those you love or pay future estate taxes.
  • Property and casualty to protect you against financial loss due to an untimely event.
  • Umbrella policies to protect your assets against a lawsuit.
  • Long-term care policies to give you that secure feeling of knowing you will not be a burden to others.
  • Disability insurance to protect your income in the event you can no longer work.
  • Estate Equalization and Tax reduction.
  • Business Continuation and Succession Planning
  • Sale of Real Estate or Business Interests

We can work with your team of professionals to advise on the items that should be considered to make sure the bases are covered.
